Pastas de Mantequilla
Time: 1h
Difficulty: Easy
Price: Affordable
Ingredients:
100g. butter
200g. flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 tablespoon of milk
3 eggs
125g. of sugar
To decorate: hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, raisins, your favorite jam, chocolate, etc.
Beat two eggs in a bowl and add the butter and sugar. Gradually add the flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder plus one tablespoon milk, and keep beating until it becomes a dough.
In a tray dusted with a little flour, make dough into rounded balls with your hands. Press them lightly to flatten, until becoming circles of about an inch thick.
On each cookie, embed a peeled hazelnut, a walnut half, an almond, a raisin, a little bit of your favorite jam, or chocolate, etc.
Beat an egg white and brush it over the top of all cookies. Place the filled cookie tray in the oven at low heat over 250, and baked until they are light brown, at least 15 minutes.
Once they are baked, remove from the oven and take them off the cookie sheet, gently with a knife, before they cool.
